Arun Kishan is a Technical Fellow, Corporate Vice President, and General Manager of Azure Compute at Microsoft, where he leads the strategy, engineering, and execution of Azure’s global compute platform. In this role, he oversees the development of core cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, host systems, and custom silicon–enabled solutions that improve performance, scalability, and energy efficiency for customers worldwide. With more than 20 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems and software engineering, Arun has held progressively senior technical and leadership roles at Microsoft, contributing to foundational advances in cloud architecture and platform reliability. He is recognized for combining deep hands-on technical expertise with executive leadership to deliver secure, high-performance cloud services at hyperscale.
