Klas Moreau: There are 6 million Google searches happening every minute. AI is transforming the way we access information. And soon Google search will be replaced by ChatGPT. Now you only get links from Google, while ChatGPT delivers research answers. But there is a catch. The ChatGPT query consumes 100 times more energy. Now we must innovate responsibly, developing computers that are not only intelligent, but also sustainable for our planet.
My name is Klaus Moreau and I am the CEO of Zero Point Denolis. We have developed a groundbreaking data optimization technology that saves energy and boosts performance in computers. We've all seen the headlines. Amazon, Google, Microsoft invest in nuclear energy to power their data centers. Now, the digital transformation is extremely fast and the challenges we face are huge. Energy data centers are predicted to use four times more energy by 2030. Data by 2025. This year, the cloud will host half of the world's data. And 95% of all new data will go into the cloud. Even before ChatGPT, the cost of compute was growing rapidly. Now it has skyrocketed. And even though billions and billions of dollars were poured into AI investments and energy bills in 2025, this is just the beginning.
Rolling out AI globally at scale will be a 10 times bigger storage and compute problem. That must be SOL 10th of the cost and energy consumption. So the question is, what can we do? Well, the industry is responding to this challenge with new processors, memory and storage technologies, which is great, but it's not enough. We have developed a groundbreaking data optimization technology that saves energy and boosts performance in computers, both for general purpose and AI needs. With over 25 years of experience in deep tech industries—including semiconductors, virtual
reality, artificial intelligence, and gaming—Klas has held key leadership roles that bridge
cutting-edge research and commercial success. Prior to joining ZeroPoint in 2019, he served as
CEO of MindArk, the developer of the virtual universe Entropia Universe, and held various
management positions at Ericsson AB .
Klas holds an MSc in Computer Engineering from Luleå University of Technology. He is
